In the Qantas Club in Adelaide today, these Sergio Rossi beige with metallic heel slides are posed on some directional carpet. They are paired with the moving Encens et Lavande by Serge Lutens.

Day 274 - War of the worlds

Kittie in Marni patent platform sandals at a dear friend's big birthday bash tonight, which had an alien theme - wigs mandatory - and featured a great 'War of the Worlds' inspired performance. What a great night! They were worn with Serge Lutens' Cedre, a big fave for chilly (football) weather.

Day 193 - World weary

Perfect shoes for challenging times. No-name retro pumps with silk velvet bows from Italy heaving a deep sigh at the end of the working day, paired with the comforting fragrance Cedre, by Serge Lutens.

Another pair of elegant Manolo Blahniks, this time black Carolyne slingbacks, worn with Serge Lutens' dry but heady Borneo 1834.

Day 139 - Blessed

Fabulous Sergio Rossi heels in purple and red - they have red bow detail on the vamps not visible in this shot.  The heels have an unusual chiselled style. They are worn with Serge Lutens' Cedre, ideal for a cool blustery day.

Day 131 - Puss in boots

Well, at least it's Kittie in boots!  These lovely rich brown suede Stuart Weitzman boots are catching up with friends on the coolest May day for a decade in Melbourne, paired with Serge Lutens' fabulous patchouli-chocolate fragrance Borneo 1834.

Day 130 - Cats cradle

I love these shoes.  I bought them from the John Fluevog boutique in Chicago in 2007, I think, and have worn them year in, year out ever since.  They have a sense of humour (sadly, a rare quality in shoes), attract compliments from appreciative strangers and are  comfortable and functional.  The colour is one of the things I love most - an interesting burnished olive, with curved wood-stack heels, enhanced by the fabulous flourish of the cats cradle ties at the front.   They're on Little Bourke Street on a very cool winter's day accompanied by Serge Lutens' comforting Cedre.

Day 95 - Mad men (and women)

Marc Jacobs slingbacks on a mission in officeland to cheer up oppressed/depressed office workers - you can see what they are:  black patent leather retro (ie 60s-style) shoes with big gold detail on both heels.  A brilliant touch, Marc - and also on the uppers.  Fabbo!  Worn with Serge Lutens' Cedre.

Day 85 - Posh spice

These stunning Manolo Blahnik black sequinned peep-toes were dining at the Spice Temple at Melbourne's Crown, accompanied by Serge Lutens' Cedre.

Day 67 - Chinatown

Chinatown, Melbourne, lunchtime, Tuesday.  Lunching at an undisclosed location - because it's so good I want to keep it a secret.  Tottered down Little Bourke Street in these lovely Kate Spade patent peeptoes, bought a few years ago at the store on Oak Street in Chicago - when I was lucky to snap them up for 50 bucks (they were relocating over the road and selling off stock super-cheap).  The style is 'Gwen' and they are easy to wear.  Note the double heel strap and interesting criss-cross detail.  Worn with Serge Lutens' Cedre.  Great feng shooey.

Day 53 - Serge/Sergio, I Love You

This may look like I have suddenly lost a leg, but I haven't - it's just the unflattering angle of the shot made my other foot look like a pig's trotter, so I chopped it off and this post is therefore unipedal. I'm sure my readers will understand. Anyway, this magnificent shoe (be assured there are two of them, both in excellent health) is by Sergio Rossi, in black with tan trim and an elegant heel and elasticised slingback that actually works. Worn on this rather chilly summer's day with Cedre by Serge Lutens. I just realised - Serge, Sergio - have you met? - I love you both! xxx
