Pictured on today's soft autumn day entering the Louis Vuitton boutique on Melbourne's Collins Street, this classic Toledo blue epi leather Louis Vuitton Speedy is accompanied by Christian Louboutin mesh slingbacks with telltale red heels (style is Quadrillette). The fragrance is Chanel's Bois des Iles.
My Year in Shoes
Welcome to my year in shoes, where I got to see if I could meet the challenge to wear every pair I own in the 365 days of 2011...and to the new year where I continue to share the fun of shoes

Puccissime!
I recently realised (der!) that my beloved Pucci silk heels, which are pictured at lunch on Easter Sunday in Toorak with resident puss-meister Harry Winston, match my equally beloved Pucci skirt. Here they are together for the first time, accompanied by a new discovery - Cartier's Declaration, which instantly reminded me of another great favourite, Bigarade Concentree from the Frederic Malle line. Bitter orange with a touch of BO. Of course, they are both creations of the brilliant Jean-Claude Ellena, so I shouldn't have been surprised.
But wait...there's more...a guest shoe as worn by one of my charming hosts. It's a chocolate brown suede Gucci loafer worn with Paul Smith sock and a Ralph Lauren pumpkin corduroy pant. Very stylish and perfect for the day's chilly autumn weather.

Zipped up
At a long-overdue meeting of the G5* at The Aylesbury last night, these zippy Sergio Rossi sandals - which have been seen a couple of times last year - were teamed with an equally zippy black silk Toni Maticevski skirt. The fragrance was the wonderful Tolu by Ormonde Jayne...one of Kittie's favourites.

Gran reserva
Last night Kittie was celebrating the all-too-brief visit to Melbourne of her dear friend, the very talented photographer and blogger Alice Olive, who now lives on the other side of the world in New York. These Oscar de la Renta bronze-toned sandals were pictured at Gertrude Street Spanish eatery Anada, accompanied by Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere.
Below is another shot of Kittie by Ms Olive taken this morning on Smith Street of a seriously beautiful vintage silk Pucci skirt in very Alice shades of brown, tan, taupe, off-white and yellow, paired with Manolo Blahnik tan suede mules and Chanel's 31 Rue Cambon. Ole!

A little bit country
Pictured above: Bindi, the pure-bred Queensland cattle dog - well, bitch, actually - extraordinaire, posing with her master who is wearing a pair of lightly battered pseudo-Blunnies (Blundstones) on an old esky* somewhere in country Victoria. Bindi is also very appreciative of a pair of Blahniks, as shown by the photo below. We shoe bitches stick together!

Skinny flat white
And now for something completely different. A skinny flat white isn't what you might think it is if you don't come from Australia...it's a low-fat milky coffee, and something that Kittie enjoys most mornings at Melbourne's Cellar Bar on Bourke Street. Here's a portrait of the venue taken this morning, featuring her favourite waiters, the lovely Kris, Mariano and Jose - from New Zealand, Sardinia and Barcelona respectively. Love your work, guys!
