Welcome to the original 'year in shoes', where Kittie France got to see if she could meet the challenge to wear every pair she owned in the 365 days of 2011

Day 79 - Warm day by the pool
Marni canvas flats on an unusually warm, humid day in autumn posed poolside, accompanied by Clarins Eau Dynamisante.
Well, that is an interesting one. I would say decisions about appropriate footwear would need to take into account the weather, temperature and terrain (spike heels can sink badly into damp lawn, for example) as well as the nature of the event. I don't know that the begonias would really influence my choice though. Mind you, this is coming from someone who once wore a skirt and heels to a factory inspection where she had to scramble up quite some height into some god-forsaken heavy-duty military vehicle. So even I admit there are occasions when heels are not always the best choice.
Actually I was thinking of evoking the colour, the transitory mad gorgeousness of begonias at the Begonia Festival - it knocks me out every year. I looked at these mad flowers and thought - my shoes are SO inaappropriate what would Kittie France wear?
Yes Anonymous, true, true...but even I wear flats to actually function in life. I just don't feature them on my blog (although some of my trusty warhorses are worthy candidates - watch this space.)
I have a challenge for you. What would you wear for a begonia viewing?
