Pictured against bathing boxes at Rye Beach this morning are these beautiful gold and navy fabric Vera Wang sandals with gold leather trim. We've seen them before, but they really are worth another look. They are paired with Jean Patou's Vacances, a floral musk fragrance released in 1936 (and reissued in the 1980s), which still smells just like holidays should.
Welcome to the original 'year in shoes', where Kittie France got to see if she could meet the challenge to wear every pair she owned in the 365 days of 2011

Day 232 - Yum cha
Ni hao! These soft pink leather flats by Vera Wang Lavender were last seen with Kittie in Chicago a few months ago. Adorned with trademark VW bling, they have hidden low wedges which make them supremely comfortable, as well as being stylish, beautiful and eye-catching. Today they are pictured post-yum cha in one of the better restaurants in Melbourne's Chinese belt to the north of the city - Plume. I recommend the har gow. They are worn with Shanghai Tang's Mandarin Tea.

Day 24 - Happy feet
These feet are very happy. Why? Well, snapped dining at France Soir, they were thrilled to be with three of their favourite men in the world, including a very dear and unexpected visitor from America (you know who you are). They were also pleased to be soaking up a bit of Australian Open atmosphere - Amelie Mauresmo was at the next table - perfect for my tennis tragic friend! They are wearing a lovely pair of Vera Wang bronze metallic Mary Janes. Teamed with Dior's great classic Diorella, which I wore for years and years and still return to on occasion.
