Day 66 - White shoe brigade

A heavenly warm early autumn day in a lovely pair of Manolo Blahnik white patent sandals, enjoying themselves in the park accompanied by Chanel's elegant and refreshing Bel Respiro from Les Exclusifs.

Day 65 - Bread

Helga (sorry, Kittie) has been baking bread in an advanced breadmaking course in the bakery at the Abbotsford Convent. All morning, into the day, wearing Funkis clogs from Sweden, the perfect kitchen accessory. No perfume necessary, except for that of yeast, cinnamon and rising bread. Yummy!

Day 64 - Mirrored

Suede peeptoe pumps with mirrored heels by Zara, in a much-admired cobalt colour, pictured on a Saturday lunch outing, worn with Shanghai Tang's Mandarin Tea cologne.

Day 63 - Urban shoe myth

As Carrie said in Sex and the City about these magnificent creatures: "Oh my God! Do you know what these are? Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes. I thought these were an urban shoe myth." Well, these are no myth - they are very real, and very beautiful. The style is Campari and the heel is a rather challenging (for Kittie at least) 4 inches high. They are black patent leather trimmed in black grosgrain. Worn with Estee Lauder's Youth Dew Amber Nude.

Day 62 - Back to nature

Ah, nature! These heroic Sergio Rossi black slingback heels with interesting detailed leatherwork are looking serious in the landscape atop a mossy rock in front of a majestic spotted gum. They are joyfully paired with one of my absolute favourite fragrances, Amouage Jubilation 25.

Day 61 - Town Hall

Mid-brown mesh round-toe slingbacks by Christian Louboutin (see the red under the heels) in a style called Quadrillette, worn with L'Artisan Parfumeur's Timbuktu, one of my faves. The shot is taken at Melbourne Town Hall after an International Women's Day function.

Day 60 - Never smile at a crocodile

First day of autumn. These choc mock croc Max Studio slings have been amongst my most cherished investments, even if they are made in China (and, be assured, hardly any of my shoes are). With their comfortable spike heels and cross-over straps, they are very handsome, well-made and easy to wear. They're also quite a few years old. Taking a gasp of fresh air during the working day with a dear friend, they are paired with the delightful 'masculine' rose fragrance of Twill Rose by Les Parfums de Rosine.
