The epitome of elegant Manolo Blahnik slides, pictured this evening at the opening of the incredibly moving show by the talented Rachel Berger, Hold the Pickle, about her family surviving the Holocaust and building a new life first in Israel, and then in St Kilda (almost a country within Australia), but so much more. They are worn with Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady.
Welcome to the original 'year in shoes', where Kittie France got to see if she could meet the challenge to wear every pair she owned in the 365 days of 2011
"I never met a Manolo I didn't like." - Kittie France
"You can never have enough hats, gloves and shoes." - Patsy Stone
"I did not have three thousand pairs of shoes, I had one thousand and sixty." - Imelda Marcos
"I never met a Manolo I didn't like." - Kittie France
They are the epi-tome! Very elegant.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely fragrance--where ever did you find it?
Congrats to Rachel, can't wait for her American debut.
Joseph, thank you, and you know where I found that fragrance...it was carefully carried over to Melbourne from Barney's Chicago by a certain refined and stylish gentleman who looks a lot like you. But getting back to Rachel, this show needs to go to New York!! Is there anyone out there listening?
ReplyDeleteNo one does elegance like Manolo. His signature heel is the most elegant frame a lady's foot can have.
